Founder and author of F*ck Being Humble Stefanie Sword-Williams, has got everything you need to hype yourself up for your next application. In this CV and cover note writing workshop, we will dive into the best tactics and tips to make sure you stand out for all the right reasons. Writing your CV can be tricky at the best of times, so we'll help guide you on how to showcase your unique skills, most relevant work experience, and how to make sure the viewer reading truly understands why you're worth investing in. Plus we'll give you guidance on how to prep for interviews virtually and in-person so you can confidently own the room.

The Speakers

Stef Sword-Williams is the founder and author of F*ck Being Humble. She set up the platform to encourage individuals to be unapologetically proud of their achievements and overcome the fear of self-promotion. Named as Forbes 30 Under 30 in Europe, she has delivered workshops for global brands including Unilever, Warner Music, Google, ASOS, Microsoft, The Guardian, and for conferences such as Cannes Lions Festival and D&AD. In 2020 Stef released her first book ‘F*ck Being Humble: Why self-promotion isn't a dirty word’ and also delivered a TEDx Talk on why the world needs to be a little less humble.

This event is organised by the University of Westminster’s Creative Enterprise Centre (CEC) as part of the annual Westminster’s Inclusive Enterprise Festival (WInc); delivered through a series of events that aim to inspire, inform and empower a diverse and representative talent pipeline.

Each event will highlight the career paths paved by pioneering and successful industry leaders and entrepreneurs representative of underrepresented communities and identity intersections.
